Steve on Eloquential

I invited Carolyn Finney to guest-teach my upper-level class in Creative Nonfiction Writing, and the session she led was one of the highlights of the semester. Knowing the entrepreneurial mindset of Babson students, Carolyn wrote an essay aimed specifically at their interests; her essay was suspenseful, funny, and imaginative. Leading a discussion, she listened well and offered invaluable advice on the writing process. Her presence was warm and encouraging, and I was most impressed by her ability to think on her feet and to improvise. It came as no surprise when a number of my students praised her visit in their end-of-semester evaluations.
